Jeuveau Sherman Oaks
Jeuveau is a novel treatment option FDA approved in 2019 for smoothing out wrinkles between the eyebrows. These wrinkles are called glabellar frown lines or ’11’ lines. However, off-label, it is an injectable that can treat many different conditions that can result in either aesthetic and/or medical benefits.
Jeuveau is also known as Newtox or ‘New Botox’. Similar to Botox’s mechanism of action, it smoothes facial lines by relaxing the muscles underneath the skin. This reduced muscle movement minimizes the bunching up of skin and folding that eventually can result in the etching of lines into the skin. Once wrinkles are ironed out, you’re left looking younger, happier, and more confident.
What is Jeuveau?
Jeuveau is another injectable product- a neuromodulator among the growing list of products containing Botulinum Toxin A. These include Xeomin, Dysport, Daxxify, and the most popular of the bunch — Botox. It is specially formulated to produce effective results with relaxation of muscles which can impact different facial lines such as glabellar frown lines, crow’s feet, forehead lines, platysma bands, chin dimples, lift brows, migraine and tension headache treatment, reduction of hyperhidrosis (heavy sweating), and many more (see complete list below).
Jeuveau, with the generic name of prabotulinumtoxinA, is derived from Clostridium botulinum, just as with all other neuromodulators such as Botox, Dysport, and Daxxify. Clostridium botulinum is the same organism that causes Botulism. Jeuveau is similarly a neuromodulator that temporarily treats moderate to severe facial lines.
The muscles are connected to and receive instruction from the brain via impulses from nerves. This contraction and relaxation of muscles leads to the formation of wrinkles and lines in the skin overlying them. Jeuveau prevents the chemical connection between the nerves and the muscles, thus preventing the muscles from contracting. In the frown area, as the muscles relax, the wrinkles between the eyebrows are reduced remarkably, and the same mechanism of action occurs in other areas of treatment. Jeuveau does not just treat formed wrinkles such as glabellar frown lines, it also prevents the worsening of these lines! This is because if the skin doesn’t continuously fold all day/night, the line at the fold area doesn’t have a chance to etch in.
Jeuveau Benefits
Jeuveau smoothens winkles such as the ’11’ lines. After this treatment, you will look younger, more friendly, and more confident. Jeuveau is gaining traction rapidly. It has great reviews from patients and experts. In a market survey involving over 9000 people, Jeuveau received a 94% satisfaction rate from patients.
What Results to Expect:
- Treat Moderate to Severe Lines Such as Glabella Frown Lines: Jeuveau is a neuromodulator that relaxes the muscles in areas of injection, such as the glabellar area, and removes the associated lines, such as glabellar frown lines. You will look younger and rejuvenated.
- Avoids the Aggravated Appearance of Frown Lines: Jeuveau doesn’t only smoothen the many lines (ie. ’11’ lines), it prevents the worsening of these wrinkles. By relaxing the muscles, they don’t contract as often as before. This will reduce the chances of the lines being more prominent.
- Quick Procedure: This procedure is quick. It takes 5-10 minutes to complete the procedure.
- No Recovery Time: There is little or no recovery time. You can get back to your normal life almost immediately.
- Rapid Results: Some people who have had the procedure have seen results beginning to take effect in 2 days. Most people get the full results in 7-10 days.
- Durable Results: The results of the Jeuveau products are durable. It lasts for about 3-4 months before you need another treatment. That means you only need to do the procedure 3-4 times a year!
- Relatively Safe: The Jeuveau injection procedure is safe. It has some risks and side effects such as bruising. However, most people who have this procedure done come out with minimal side effects.
- Non-Invasive Procedure: This procedure is minimally invasive. It isn’t a surgical procedure. It is performed without general anesthesia or IV sedation . This removes the risks associated with systemic anesthetics. Complimentary topical and local numbing is available at our office.
- Natural-Looking Results: When injected by an experienced and skilled professional, Jeuveau is targeted to specific muscles that cause the formation of unwanted facial lines. This spares all the other facial muscles and leads to a more natural-looking result.
How Long Will Results Last?
The results of Jeuveau injection treatment are temporary. After the procedure which takes roughly 5-15 minutes, the results can begin to show by day 2 post-procedure. Full results are usually achieved in 7-10 days and decline slowly until resolved back to baseline by 3-4 months.
Proper skincare, avoiding excessive sunlight exposure, and taking Zinc supplements can improve how long the results last. Keep in mind that exercise and low caloric intake can reduce longevity, as with other neuromodulators.

Jeuveau Reviews
‘’Excellent place !!!! The Doctor is caring and professional. I am going for Botox, filler, and micro-needling. I like to keep a natural look and be discrete on what I am doing on my skin. Honestly, I look 10 years younger and everyone think that I have good genes. I used to go to another place before but I never ever got the same result than Cosmetic injectable center. The new thing for collagen is micro-needling. I find it better than any laser on the market, no down time, 100% safe and it works’’

I had my first Jeuveau treatment done at Cosmetic Injectables Center. I’m 44, and I had always been nervous to “go under the needle,” fearing an unnatural looking result. Dr. Soleiman and Nurse Melody both helped to immediately put me at ease. After my initial assessment and discussing my goals for treatment, Melody mapped out where she would be injecting me. When all was said and done, she was pretty quick! Overall, I’d give the pain level I experienced a 1 or 2 out of 10 – a couple of sites around my eyes smarted. I’ve been very pleased with my results so far. If you’re a guy looking for a place where you leave looking refreshed instead of overdone, check out Cosmetic Injectables Center in Sherman Oaks.

Jeuveau FAQs
What exactly is Jeuveau?
Jeuveau is an FDA-approved neuromodulator for injection into the frown. However, it can be used off-label in the muscles of the forehead, frown, crow feet, lips (for lip flip), chin, brows (for brow lift), nose, neck, TMJ, DAOs (to reduce sad face), gummy smile, underarms or hands (for sweating), feet (for plantar fasciitis or for sweating), arms (for tendinitis), traps (to relax the tension muscles), trigger points, scalp (for migraines) calves to reduce their size; and for many other aesthetic and medical indications.
How does Jeuveau work?
Jeuveau is a neuromodulator that relaxes the muscles in areas of injection, such as the glabellar area and removes the associated lines, such as glabellar frown lines. You will look younger and rejuvenated.
What should I tell my doctor before getting treatment with Jeuveau?
Before the treatment, you should tell the doctor the medications you have been taking as well as any allergies that you have. After that, you will explore your desires and the specialist will help you set feasible expectations.
Who should not use Jeuveau?
Anyone with an allergy to neuromodulators such as Botox should not get Jeuveau. It is also contraindicated in those with muscle disorders such as myasthenia gravis. While not specifically contraindicated, we discourage the use of botox during pregnancy and breastfeeding as safety studies have not been conducted in these groups.
Can you do a lip flip with Jeuveau?
Yes. Jeuveau is a competitor to Botox and can be used to perform all of the same procedures as Botox including lip flip.
Should I get Botox or Jeuveau?
Jeuveau is a competitor neurotoxin to Botox. Just as with SSRI anti-depressants where each person may respond better to one vs another, some find Jeuveau to be more effective than Botox while others find Botox to be stronger. The key is to have the same provider inject the same number of units using one product at one visit; and then the other product at the next visit. This way, only the product is the variable entity, reflecting more accurately the differences in strength, longevity, and type of results from Botox vs Jeuveau.
Can you use Jeuveau under eyes?
Yes, Jeuveau can be used off-label under the eyes. However, it is used to reduce squinting and hence, the lines that can form from that type of animation. Jeauveau is not the right product for filling the tear trough or the under-eye hollows. For fullness in the under-eye area, we recommend a filler that has a low level of water absorption.
How many units of Jeuveau are equal to Botox?
Botox and Jeuveau units are measured and injected the same way. So if we inject 20 units of Botox and want to switch a patient over to Jeuveau on their next visit, we will inject 20 units of Jeuveau. In other words, it’s a 1 to 1 ratio.
How soon do you see results from Jeuveau?
Jeuveau starts to kick in at about 3 days after injection but will reach complete results at about 14 days. The kicking-in process is very similar to Botox for most patients. However, some have expressed to us that one kicks in faster for them compared to the other. The feedback from our patients has been 50/50 about which brand kicks in more quickly.
Is Jeuveau approved for crow's feet?
Yes, while it’s not FDA-approved for the crow’s feet area, Jeuveau can be used off-label on crow’s feet with great results.
Is Jeuveau covered by insurance?
Generally, insurance does not cover aesthetic procedures. In addition, Jeuveau does not have any FDA approval for the treatment of medical conditions, which is usually required for insurance coverage.
What do celebrities use instead of Botox?
We have many celebrities at our office and I can tell you that while they may not be upfront about it, they do use Botox. The key is the technique so that it does not create unnatural movements. Instead of overdoing, one thing, they use a little bit of everything to target pigmentation, texture, wrinkles, symmetry, lifting, volume deficiencies, elasticity, tightening, Hair loss, thinning of the skin with different modalities. It’s an intimate relationship that depends on trust, patience, and effort on the patient’s part in coming and going rather than quick fixes. The common modalities used are lasers, fillers, threads, radiofrequency devices, Bioregenerayive procedures, topicals, facials, and medical grade peels.
Can Jeuveau lift eyebrows?
Yes. When injected by experienced providers, there are four techniques that can be implemented to lift eyebrows using Jeuveau. One can choose the shape and amount of brow lift by modifying the number of units injected and the number of techniques used.
Can you switch between Botox and Jeuveau?
Yes, if you wish, you can switch from Jeuveau to Botox, using the same number of units. We usually recommend waiting for the effects of Jeuveau to completely dissipate before switching to Botox so that you can compare the effectiveness of results more accurately.
What are the cons of Jeuveau?
Jeuveau has been FDA-approved for safety and hence, does not have “cons”. However, as with any other medication, it has side effects and contraindications. The contraindications include allergies to the product and its ingredients and any muscle disorders such as Guillen barre. It’s also a good idea not to receive jeuveau injections when pregnant or breastfeeding as Jeuceau has not been studied in these groups.
How much does Jeuveau cost per unit?
Jeuveau costs between $12-$15 per unit. However, the company usually has instant rebates that can reduce your total by about $40 (this may vary). Our office provides competitive pricing and monthly specials that usually include Jeuveau. Please call us for more info or subscribe to our email to be in the know!
What lasts longer, Jeuveau or Dysport?
Jeuveau and Dysport are both FDA-approved neuromodulators that have shown 3-4 months longevity in FDA-approved clinical trials. Clinically, we have found that some people respond better with one, and less with the other. But the response is equally divided as to which product works better. So while for one person Dysport might be more effective, for others Jeuveau may be stronger. The only way to know what is right for you is to try each out without changing other dynamics such as staying with the same provider and with the equivalent dose.
How long does Jeuveau last?
When used at recommended dosage, clinical studies have shown that Jeuveau can last about 3 to 4 months. However, depending on your metabolism and ability to break down the product, you may be prone to shorter duration, or even longer.
Cosmetic Injectables brings you Jeuveau, a modern approach to facial aesthetics that smooths lines and enhances natural beauty with expert care.
