EZ Gel Sherman Oaks
EZ Gel is a filling and rejuvenating gel for treating wrinkles, texture, and loss of volume in several parts of the face, like the under-eye, lips, chin, and crow’s feet. This gel can even promote hairline and eyebrow hair growth. The gel is 100% natural and produced from your blood components.
EZ Gel Filler combines proteins and cells derived from your own blood —platelets, platelet-rich fibrin, and albumin — to produce a gel that is a filler and stimulates cell growth and long-term secretion of growth factors. Technically, it’s similar to PRP and PRF, but with longer-lasting beneficial effects. This comes as a result of its ability to hold on longer to the platelets, hence longer production of peptides and growth factors in the area.
What is EZ Gel?
EZ Gel is the newest advancement in the pursuit of creating the perfect, autologous filler and bio-stimulator. First was Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), then Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) and now EZ Gel hit the market. EZ Gel is similar to the previous procedures but with longer-lasting results. This family of products does for your skin what fertilizer does for your garden.
EZ Gel is an autologous filling serum that takes advantage of your body’s regenerative ability to heal and uses it to rejuvenate old skin, treating signs of aging such as wrinkling, texture degradation, and loss of volume. It does this by volumizing hollow areas and also triggering the creation of new cells, growth factors, and essential proteins.
After an injury, our body produces signaling proteins which it uses to repair the damaged body tissues. These proteins have regenerative components — they trigger the generation of new cells. Instead of using artificial components, EZ Gel combines these proteins — albumin and platelet-rich fibrin — from your blood to produce this filler. It is safer and affordable, and its viscosity makes it last a long time, extending the beneficial effects associated with PRP and PRF.
Beyond the immediate volumizing effect of EZ Gel, it causes the production of collagen, stimulates new cell growth, and releases growth factors over a few months.
EZ Gel Benefits
EZ Gel is such a great advancement in filler treatment with safer, more effective, and longer-lasting results. In addition, it’s derived from your own body which has made it a popular treatment option among experts and patients all over the world.
What Results to Expect:
- Reduces Signs of Aging: EZ Gel smooths out wrinkles and fine lines. It also adds volume to several areas in this face. The result is a younger, rejuvenated look.
- Stimulates Formation of Collagen and Elastin: Collagen and elastin are vital to maintaining the firmness and elasticity of the skin. They get reduced as you age and that’s one of the reasons that the skin begins to sag. EZ Gel reverts this by triggering collagenogenesis. Your face will look fresher and younger in no time!
- Reduces Skin Pore Size: With reduced collagen support, our pores increase in size. With the stimulation of the regenerative proteins, pore size reduces after EZ Gel treatment.
- Thickens and Tightens Skin: Due to the collagen support and increased elasticity from EZ Gel treatment, the skin reverses into a more youthful thickness and tightness.
- Improves Facial Asymmetry: For those with facial asymmetry, EZ Gel is a great alternative to surgery — the gold standard for treating facial asymmetry. It corrects minute asymmetry of the face.
- Improves Acne Scars: EZ Gel is used to minimize acne scars. It rejuvenates the tissues as our plasma/blood naturally does when healing from an injury, which leads to fading of the scars.
- Safe Procedure: EZ Gel is 100% autologous (derived from your own body). It has minimal risk of anaphylaxis, making the procedure safe.
- Little or No Downtime: EZ Gel treatment has little or no recovery time. You will experience minimal symptoms of swelling or bruising and they will clear out within a few days.
- Affordable: Because the materials for this procedure are obtained from your own body, it is quite affordable.
- Quick Procedure: This procedure only takes about 30-45 minutes!
- Durable Results: The results of EZ Gel treatment are durable. Its volumizing effect lasts for 3-4 months, while the regenerating effect spans 6-12 months.
How Long Will Results Last?
You will need two to three treatment sessions with EZ Gel across 8-12 weeks. You will see the filler effect for 3-4 months, and the regenerative function lasts as long as 6-12 months!
For best results, we recommend following these points:
- Maintenance treatment every 6-9 months
- Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight
- Proper skin care
- Other anti-aging therapies

How the Procedure Works
EZ Gel treatment is a non-invasive procedure and is done in the doctor’s office. It is a quick, safe procedure and doesn’t require anesthesia. Blood is retrieved from your arm, the tube is put in a slow centrifuge to spin, and the isolated platelets and proteins/fibrin are heated/cooled/mixed to derive the final product for injection.
Using EZ HEAT and EZ COOL, the platelet-rich fibrin and human serum albumin are heated and cooled, respectively. Albumin-rich plasma Gel and EZPRF are combined in the proportion of 2:1 to form a natural, viscose, smooth, volumizing, and rejuvenating EZ Gel.
Before & Preparation
Your treatment begins with a consultation with one of our experts. In that consultation, the expert will:
- Explore your desires and help you set the right expectations
- Counsel you on the risks and potential complications of this procedure
- Check if you’re a good candidate for the procedure
- Inform you of things to avoid before your procedure day such as:
- Aspirin, Ginkgo Biloba, Vitamin E
- Smoking at least 1 week before the procedure
- Drinking alcohol or coffee beverages at least 48 hours before the procedure
During the Procedure
- Duration: 30-45 minutes.
- Needle used: Ultra slim needle.
- Pain: Slight pain. You can opt for local anesthetics before the procedure.
- Step-by-step guide:
- The applicator cleans the area for drawing blood to prevent infection from the injection site.
- Our expert providers collect about 10-20 ml of blood from your arms into a plain tube.
- Using EZ MINI SPIN, we centrifuge the blood at low speed. This low-speed centrifugation forms a fibrin scaffolding. Albumin is retained in the serum and is used for making EZ Gel.
- Blood is drawn to make the filler.
- Using the EZMINISPIN, the blood undergoes slow centrifugation. This isolates Platelet-Rich Fibrin and serum albumin.
- The serum albumin and platelet-rich fibrin are then heated and cooled with EZHEAT and EZCOOL devices
- Platelet-rich fibrin is mixed with serum albumin to form EZ Gel.
- The expert cleans the treatment area.
- The filler is carefully injected into the treatment area and spread out evenly.
- Clean up properly and ensure there is symmetry.
Aftercare & Recovery
After the EZ Gel procedure, there may be some redness, swelling, and or possible bruising. A cold compress or arnica gel will be helpful with this.
You can go home immediately after the procedure. However, the swelling and bruising may take a few days to resolve.
Here are some things to do post-procedure:
- Avoid blood thinning medication, foods and beverages such as fish, anti-inflammatory medications, and alcohol for at least 24 hours after treatment.
- Don’t lie on the sides of your face where the procedure was done for 72 hours.

Similar & Related Procedures
- Fat Transfer: Fat transfer therapy is a treatment where surgeons take fat from other parts of the body and transfer it to the treatment area. It is slightly invasive, as the fat to be used has to be harvested.
- Juvederm, Restylane, or Belotero: These are dermal fillers made from hyaluronic acid. They are injected into the treatment area and restore volume.
- Radiesse: Radiesse is a filler made from calcium hydroxylapatite. It is thicker and works better in areas with thick skin. However, it is not instantly reversible.
- Laser Therapy: Laser therapy is a treatment that reduces the signs of aging, but doesn’t add volume to the treatment area. Cutera Excel V LaserGenesis is a great option for this type of rejuvenation.
- Surgery: Surgery is usually more definitive and permanent, but it has a longer recovery time and can be expensive.

EZ Gel FAQs
What is EZ gel plasma filler?
EZ gel plasma filler is a cosmetic treatment that involves using a person’s own platelet-rich plasma (PRF) to create a gel-like substance. This gel is then injected into the skin to promote collagen production, reduce wrinkles, and improve skin texture. It is considered a natural filler option as it uses the patient’s blood components.
Is EZ gel the same as clear gel?
EZ gel refers specifically to a plasma filler derived from the patient’s own blood, while “clear gel” could refer to various transparent gel products in cosmetic and medical applications, including some types of synthetic fillers. They are not the same.
What can I use instead of E-Z Gel?
There are several other options you can explore instead of EZ Gel, but it depends on the results you require. The following can be used instead of EZ Gel — hyaluronic acid fillers, Poly-L-lactic acid fillers, and Calcium Hydroxylapatite. The one you use is dependent on the desired results.
What is ez gel prf?
EZ gel PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) is a second-generation platelet concentrate widely used in regenerative medicine. In the context of EZ gel, it refers to the process of creating a gel-like substance from the patient’s own PRF to use as a natural filler for cosmetic purposes.
Is EZ gel better than fillers?
Whether EZ gel is “better” than other fillers depends on the individual’s needs and preferences. EZ gel offers a natural alternative, utilizing the body’s healing capabilities, but synthetic fillers might provide more immediate or longer-lasting results for some.
Can you dissolve E-Z Gel?
Unlike some synthetic fillers that can be dissolved with hyaluronidase, EZ Gel cannot be dissolved as it is made from the patient’s own biological material. Any adjustments or corrections would need to be managed through natural absorption over time or through additional treatments.
Is plasma better than microneedling?
Plasma treatments and microneedling serve different purposes but can be complementary. Plasma, particularly in forms like EZ gel, is used for volume restoration and skin rejuvenation, while microneedling primarily promotes skin repair by inducing collagen production. The best choice depends on the specific skin concerns being addressed.
How long does E-Z Gel filler last?
The effects of E-Z Gel filler can last from 6 to 18 months, varying based on the individual’s skin condition, lifestyle, and the area treated.
How much does E-Z Gel plasma filler cost?
The cost of E-Z Gel plasma filler treatments can vary widely depending on the location, provider, and the extent of treatment needed, typically ranging from $600 to $2500 per session.
What is the difference between PRF and EZ gel?
PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) is a blood concentrate that promotes healing and tissue regeneration. EZ gel is a form of PRF that has been processed into a gel-like substance specifically for use as a natural filler in cosmetic procedures.
What are the side effects of EZ gel filler?
Possible side effects include swelling, bruising, redness, and tenderness at the injection site. These side effects are generally temporary. Since EZ gel is made from the patient’s own blood, the risk of allergic reaction is significantly reduced.
Are there benefits of EZ gel?
Benefits of EZ gel include natural-looking results, enhancement of skin texture and volume, promotion of collagen production, and a lower risk of allergic reactions since it is derived from the patient’s own blood.
Is EZ gel all natural?
Yes, EZ gel is all natural, as it is made from the patient’s own platelet-rich plasma, without the addition of synthetic substances.
Is EZ Gel filler worth it?
Many find EZ Gel filler worth it for its natural composition and the dual benefits of filling and skin rejuvenation. However, satisfaction can vary based on individual expectations, the skill of the practitioner, and the specific treatment goals.
How long does ez gel prf last?
The duration of the effects from EZ Gel PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) treatments can vary depending on the individual’s skin condition, the area treated, and lifestyle factors. Generally, the results can last from 6 to 18 months. The longevity of the treatment benefits is influenced by how well the individual’s body responds to the treatment, as EZ Gel PRF works by promoting the body’s natural healing and collagen production processes.
