Restylane fillers, developed by Galderma, a global leader in the cosmetic injectables market, are FDA-approved non-animal stabilized HA fillers. They mimic the body’s natural hyaluronic acid with variable, but overall a small amount of crosslinking.
Restylane fillers are manufactured using two unique technologies: NASHA® and XpresHAn TechnologyTM (designed for movement and expression).

Are Restylane Fillers Reversible?
Most popular lip fillers like Restylane fillers are made of hyaluronic acids. These molecules are completely and instantly reversible by injecting a reversal agent called hyaluronidase (name brands Hylenex and Vitrase).
Hyaluronic acid filler molecules are held together by cross-linking. Some fillers have more cross linking molecules which makes them last longer. and others have fewer, which makes them dissolve faster. Having said that, there are also some that propose that higher cross linking may possibly elicit an allery reaction to the product. This has not been proven and many believe it to not be true. Another benefit of low crosslinking is that hyaluronidase can break down the filler faster and more easily when reversal is desired. Once filler products are dissolved, the body can then discard them.
Some fillers such as Restylane L, Restylane Silk, and Restylane Lyft only need one session of reversal agent, while other products such as Voluma or Juvederm may need two or three sessions to dissolve completely. If you have experienced migration of your fillers or are unhappy with your filler results and are looking for help, you are in the right place.
