When Will I See Results From Botox?
Typically, it will take between 7 to 10 days to see results once Botox is injected into the targeted muscles. Results may vary depending on the site of the injection and the amount of Botox units used.
What Are The Recommended Doses for Botox?
Based on clinical trials, the standard FDA-approved and recommended dosage for Botox is 20 units for frown lines, 20 units for forehead lines, and 24 units for crows feet (12 units for each eye).
However, each dosage is tailored to the individual based on his or her needs. The most effective dosage for a patient is determined by:
- Patient’s desired longevity of effects
- Facial muscle size and strength
- Sensitivity or resistance to the product

How Long Do Botox Injections Last?

What Are the Side Effects of Botox?

What’s The Difference Between Botox and Fillers?
Botox and other neuromodulators relax muscles. As such, the weakened muscles no longer contract and don’t crease the skin into wrinkles. Fillers on the other hand “fill” the area under the skin with hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that adds volume to areas with depleted fat. By volumizing a deflated or underdeveloped area with fillers, we contour the face to rejuvenate a droopy or flat structure and lift the skin back up to its original position. Botox and fillers can also be used in combination to both tighten skin and add shape/volume to the same area.
Will Botox Work The Same As Other Neuromodulators?
Other neuromodulators like Dysport, Xeomin, Daxxify and Jeuveau work in the same way that Botox does, but patients may respond differently to each product because of slight differences in chemical makeup.
We have many patients ask which neuromodulator is best, but there is no right or wrong choice – what works for one person may not work for another. The only way to find out which product is best for you is to receive the comparable dose of each product in the same area by the same injector and note the differences in results and longevity.
